  Our designer was very scattered and was quite late to her first appointment at our house. The quote she gave us didn't include things like tear out, tile price, or tile installation. We were going to have to contract separately with the countertop and tile people. When the head contractor came out with the designer, he found several mismeasurements in the design. I asked the contractor for a tear out cost, which was way overpriced, and we also were expected to remove the appliances ourselves. We don't have time to play project manager and contractor. With all these red flags, we ended up not using Kitchens by Design. It was disappointing since they were highly recommended.
